RiggerCore® pads are the most environmentally friendly product available on the market. Rutland Plywood Corporation has engineered them to be so, using a combination of responsible techniques and manufacturing materials and processes. RiggerCore® are proudly made in Vermont, USA.
All of RPC’s Industrial grade Northern Hardwood comes from stands that are responsibly forested. The wood is harvested within a 300 mile radius of our facility in Vermont . We pay our loggers a fair price for their products. By doing so, we affirm our commitment to local community, domestic manufacturing and the smallest carbon footprint possible for these types of products.
Competitive products use wood that is shipped in from Russia, machined in the United States and sent on to customers. This results in a primarily foreign made product with a large carbon footprint
RPC’s plywood is manufactured using resins that are CARB (California Air Resource Board) compliant. Though not technically required throughout all of the 52 states, RPC uses these resins to show commitment to the environment, both in practice and principle.
RPC uses a water sealant that that is water based, vs. a solvent based. In fact, through independent testing, it was discovered, that even without a sealant, our Industrial Strength Northern Hardwood performed very well in sealing out water. When applied to RiggerCore® pads, our water based sealant performed better than the solvent based commercially available alternative. Use of this product is not only more cost effective, but friendlier to our air and employees, as well.
Rutland Plywood Corporation is an active member of the Vermont Wood Products Manufacturers, an organization dedicated to promoting the Vermont Wood Products Industry.
